Job Overview:
The ideal candidate should be able to map business requirement to technical terms, design and develop medium to large telco grade products with the use of Software Engineering best practices such as Architectural and Design Patterns, Test First Coding, Build Automation etc. He/she should be passionate about finding and using of new technologies and is also accountable for conduct Code and Design Reviews and lead a team who is capable of mentoring, monitoring and guiding a team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Active involvement in design and development processes of the company’s products and technologies
- Specification and planning of new product modules and features
- On-site and off-site consulting to customers and integrators around all product SDK’s and performance tuning
- Maintenance of high quality programming standards
- Source code control
- Knack to present and discuss technology with customers in a competent manner and travel on site where required
- Keep a track of the industry developments/standards and take the initiative to incorporate these into the company technologies
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering OR equivalent IT qualifications
- Recognized certifications on SCEA, MySQL, OCP will be an added advantage
- Minimum 3 years of hands on experience as a Software Engineer or in a similar capacity
- Should posses at least one year of experience in coordinating project teams (A team should comprises minimum of 4 members)
- Experience in handling with multiple projects simultaneously
- Should be well versed in sustaining Unix based development environments. Exposure to Open source software development tools and frameworks, such as Spring Framework, Hibernate, Ant, Maven, Junit is essential
- The ideal person should possess in depth understanding of J2EE platform, web services and XML related technologies. Sound knowledge in OOA and OOD, DBMS are requiredy
- Hands on experience on MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL databases is an added advantage
- Experience in handling with multiple projects simultaneously
- A team player with very good communication skills
- Initiative and creativity coupled with good analytical and problem solving skills
